Fittonia — often called the Nerve Plant — is a small, low-growing tropical plant prized for its striking leaves, which are patterned with vivid veins in shades of white, pink, or red. Its compact size and colourful foliage make it perfect for adding interest to the foreground of terrariums or vivariums.
It thrives in warm, humid environments with low to medium indirect light. Fittonia prefers consistently moist soil and benefits from regular misting, making it ideal for closed or high-humidity setups. It’s best used as ground cover or to fill shaded spots beneath larger plants, where it will form a lush, carpet-like layer of greenery.
